The Spindle Palm (Hyophorbe verschaffeltii) is a striking tropical palm known for its uniquely shaped trunk and elegant fronds. Its smooth, gray trunk is distinctively swollen at the center, giving it the characteristic "spindle" shape from which it derives its name. Prominent rings mark the trunk, showcasing the scars of shed fronds.
